Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026

Nutesia ("we", "us") is an AI-assisted meal and nutrition tracker. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.

What we collect

Account: your email address and password if you sign up with email (the password is handled by our sign-in provider and never seen by us), or an anonymous account ID if you continue as a guest.
Profile: your name, age, gender, height, weight, goal (lose, maintain or gain weight), and the BMI and daily nutrition targets calculated from them.
Food log: the meals you describe or add, their estimated nutrition (calories, macronutrients, vitamins, minerals) and when you logged them.
Credits: your credit balance, how credits were earned and spent, and how many rewarded ads you watched each day.
Usage and device data: app events such as screens viewed, food items added (name, calories, meal type) and your goal, together with device information and an app-instance identifier.
Advertising data: when you choose to watch a rewarded ad, our advertising partner collects your device's advertising ID, IP address and device information to show and measure the ad.

How we use it

To run the app: keep your profile and food log, calculate your targets and track your credits.
To estimate nutrition: the text you type to describe a meal is sent to our AI provider, which returns the estimated foods and nutrients. For the deficiency analysis we send your age, gender, goal, most-eaten foods and average nutrient intake. Your name and email are not sent.
To understand and improve the app, using aggregated analytics.
To reward you with credits for watching ads.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Nutesia, and only what each one needs:

Cloud hosting and sign-in provider: stores your account, profile, food log and credits.
AI provider: receives meal descriptions and the deficiency-analysis data above to produce nutrition estimates.
Analytics provider: receives the usage and device data above to help us understand how the app is used.
Advertising partner (Google): serves the rewarded ads you choose to watch. How Google uses data from apps that use its services

These providers act on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms, and may process data outside your country. Contact us if you want to know more about them.

Health information

Your weight, height, BMI and food log can reveal information about your health. We use it only to provide the app's features, never for advertising. Nutrition values are AI estimates and are not medical advice.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, food log and credit records are deleted immediately, and any copies in our providers' backups expire within their normal backup cycles. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months and is not linked to your name or email.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Profile → Delete account. This deletes your account and all data stored for it. If you can't access the app, see how to request deletion.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile at any time in the app.
You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

Nutesia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Changes

We will post updates on this page and change the effective date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
